Recovery update
Last Friday I went to my doctor’s appointment. My doctor asked me whether I’ve tried to walk without my walker. I told him I hadn’t and he asked me why. I told him I didn’t know that I could and was waiting for his permission to walk. Honestly, I did try to walk without my walker. But, it’s become my crutch. He told me to walk without it or my muscles will not be properly healed. I was also prescribed 12 sessions of physical therapy to strengthen my knee, hamstrings and quad. Ooo, I’m scared it will be painful. Full recovery will be 10-12 months. I've been reading forums of people who have had a broken femur and either people heal well or have lots of problems. Hope I heal well. Lastly, he told me I won’t be going back to work until January. Guess I’ll be twiddling my thumbs and tapping my fingers for another 3 more months.

Hey Girl- I missed what exactly happened. If it's not too difficult, could you give a quick summary of what your accident was? I moved to El Paso, TX and I don't know what's been going on w/ you all... Prayers for blessing and healing and growth!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience with us. Will continue to pray for your recovery! Tip: take pain medicine 30 minutes before you start PT. It will help. :)hecc
